AHC Tools are a Tool Hire and Sales business based in Tullibody, the job role is within our online division AHC Powertools who specialise in selling Professional Tools and Accessories across multiple channels online.

Job

The E-commerce/Website Manager’s role is to oversee the smooth and efficient running of our websites, trading in different channels and market spaces. We currently operate our site on the Magento e-commerce platform operating on v1 and v2 of this software. We also operate Linnworks as our background e-commerce management software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all websites and sales channels are operating at optimum level, are visible on the internet using SEO/SEM techniques, are correctly maintained, feature up-to-date correct content, and most importantly, are generating the highest achievable ROI based on analytical measurement and testing.

The role is multi-skilled and will require the candidate to interact with many areas of the company: marketing, sales, accounts and IT/software support.

You will report directly to the the Managing Director.

 

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time may be considered.

Salary: £20,000.00 to £25,000.00 pro-rata/year

Role: The E-commerce/Website Manager main duties will include:

  • Manage & maintain all online platforms including content, security, patches and administration
  • Plan/design/test/rollout new features on all platforms with marketing and software development teams
  • Act as quality control for new product data (attributes) and activity on website
  • Optimizing revenue programs online and pursuing new customers/channels in effort to increase online traffic and overall sales conversions
  • Email marketing -creating creative briefs
  • Plan strategies for SEO / SEM / Social media marketing with ROI reporting
  • Plan/deploy promotions using analytics to predicts times/events most likely to convert the best ROI
  • Executive reporting of website performance
  • Conversion monitoring
  • Ensure weekly promotions are pushed correctly and on time
  • Stay up to date in the latest innovation for e-commerce and retail programs
  • Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company policies
  • Identifying and resolving any problems quickly, escalating to your supervisor as required
  • Contributing to the identification and implementation of best practice and efficient ways of working

Skills: The E-commerce/Website Manager requires:

  • Self motivation with the ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating sound planning and prioritization skills
  • Developing business process knowledge
  • Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of the company’s product and service proposition to progress sales opportunities
  • Comprehensive knowledge/experience of Managing E-commerce platforms, preferably Magento, from sever level to front-end authoring and markup
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML / CSS / XML / JSON / CSV
  • Good knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
  • Competent English writing skills
  • Enthusiasm for online marketing keeping up to date with latest trends and strategies
  • Logical problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Desirable but not essential:

  • An inherent understanding of appropriate design for a chosen audience
  • Evidence and strong understanding of the concepts behind SEM / SEO, re-marketing and how best to capitalise on social media marketing
  • Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, DNS
